Mie Goreng Ingredients

For the Sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1 Tbs Kecap Manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce)
1 Tbs sambal (chili paste)
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1/4 cup chicken stock

For Stir Fry
6 oz egg noodles- dry, fresh, semi-fresh doesn’t matter, just prepare by following the package you are using.
2 Tbs cooking oil, divided
3 to 4 oz shrimp or any other protein you prefer
2 cloves garlic, chopped (approximately 2 tsp)
1/2 shallot, chopped (approximately 1/4 cup)
1 oz carrot, julienned (approximately 2 Tbs)
3 oz green leaf vegetable such as yu choy, bok choy, green cabbage and etc
3 oz beansprouts
1 Tbs fried shallot
1 egg

  7. Mee Goreng has got to be my favorite dish even though my favourite food is Mexican. I had it with pork, prawns and chicken.
